The soft palate starts to flap once the airflow in the breathing passage becomes irregular due to obstruction. The snoring sound is produced by the flapping of the soft palate. Snoring, thus, is defined as the sound that has been created by an open mouth because of the uvula and the soft palate’s vibration.
